Destin Haas Cause Of Death Not Yet Known

The Tippecanoe County Coroner Donna Avolt stated the cause of death of North Newton School Superintendent Destin Haas so far is undetermined. She stated Tuesday afternoon that he did have a head bleed, noting this could have been caused by a fall. Haas was found unresponsive in his garage in Fowler on Sunday, was taken to a Lafayette hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Avolt stated the final determination of cause of death will not be made until toxicology reports return, which normally take a few weeks. Visitation for Destin Haas will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, at The United Methodist Church in Fowler. The funeral for Destin Haas will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the church.
