Man Stabbed In Remington; Victim Reported Stable

Jasper County Sheriff’s Police reported a Wheatfield man, 24 year old Thomas J. Lewandowski, has been arrested on a felony battery charge, after allegedly stabbing another man. In a law enforcement press release, authorities were called to a Remington residence late Monday night, where they reportedly found a 40 year old male, also from Wheatfield, bleeding from at least two stab wounds. Two unidentified females were also at the residence and one was administering first aid until medical personnel from Remington Ambulance arrived. Authorities stated that during the investigation, it was revealed that Lewandowski and the victim had an argument that escalated into the victim being stabbed. At the time of the press release, shortly after 11 a.m on Wednesday, the victim was believed to be in stable condition, after being airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis.
