Easter Egg Hunt events will be taking place in various areas this weekend, while several others will hold their annual get-togethers next Saturday. Rensselaer, DeMotte and Monon will hold their event this Saturday (April 13), while Remington’s Easter Egg Hunt will be on Sunday (April 14th). In Rensselaer, the event is sponsored by the Lions Club, Shorty’s Raceway Marathon and the Rensselaer Republican, beginning at one p.m., at the south end of Brookside Park. The event is for kids through age ten. Food items for the Good Samaritan Food Pantry will be accepted. In DeMotte, the event will begin at 10 a.m., in Spencer Park, for kids up to ten years of age. You’re encouraged to please bring a canned food item or $1.00 donation. The event in Monon is sponsored by Rose Acres, and will take place in the town park at two p.m. However, there will be kids games beginning at eleven a.m., Eastern Time, and this is for kids through the age of twelve. In Remington, the Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by the First Christian Church, and will take place on Sunday (April 14th) in the town park next to the church, from noon until 1:30 p.m., Eastern Time, and is for toddlers through the fifth grade. Food will be available after this event. The communities of Morocco, Goodland, Wheatfield, Medaryville, Kentland and Brook will have their events on April 20. We will have that information soon.
