Local Commissioner Named To Ag Advisory Committee

U. S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue has announced the appointment of Jasper County Commissioner Kendell Culp, to serve on the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Trade in Grains, Feed, Oilseeds and Planting Seeds. Culp will find out more about the position when he meets with Perdue at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in Washington D. C. Culp was recommended for the position through the American Soybean Association. In the position, Culp will be in contact with both the USDA and the Foreign Agriculture Service, to advise leaders on trade policy for particular commodities. He is also Indiana Farm Bureau Vice President.
