Mayor Jeff Phillips talks about several topics discussed at the meeting: Continuing to replace lead water lines; bid opening for extending water, sewer and gas lines beyond Interstate 65, along State Road 114; an update on sections of city streets that are closed; and, a long term control plan for city sewage overflows that have contact with the Iroquois River. Mayor Phillips also talks about the passing of Robert Schenk, author of the Rensselaer Adventures blog, since 2008. The city council will create something in his memory.
